About AME

AME was founded in 2014 by Daniel and Vannessa Ellison.  Daniel started out in the refuse and recycling industry back in 1997. He began working at a small family company in Missouri where he grew up. Like most, Daniel started out at the bottom, unloading and loading carts and dumpsters and preparing carts and dumpster for shipping and pickup. He moved from that company on to another where he was now working on the refuse and recycling equipment. Unfortunately,  that did not last and in 2007 he took a job in corporate America. He knew that this move was not for him, refuse and recycling equipment had always been and was always going to be in his blood. He took a job with a truck dealer and began  work as an on the road salesman. He traveled all over the country meeting with customers and discussing their need for refuse and recycling equipment. In 2014, he decided to branch out on his own, and so Arkansas Municipal Equipment, AME, was born. In the first few years, with the help and support of his wife Vannessa and his 3 children, Daniel began running and operating AME, he was the only employee for the longest time. Since 2014 we have added 8 employees who help lighten Daniel's load. We have dedicated salesman, parts managers, mechanics, and secretaries. We would not be where we are today without the support of our customers, who have turned out to be more family than customers.
